Who we are
Our message:
We are a team of specialists devoted to the cause. Our core values are support and dialogue. We have the skill to ask the right questions. We listen with understanding. We give directions professionally. We do believe that whoever is looking for something, they find it. Our hope is contagious. We bring along the optimism of knowledge and the flame of empathy.
Our name is „Solidarnost”.
Association for rehabilitation of dependant people „Solidarnost” (ARZ "Solidarnost") is a non-governmental, non-profit organization and its mission is:
- rehabilitation and social integration of dependant people in order for them to have an autonomous life
- giving support and consultancy to parents and people who are close to the dependant person
- informative and consultant work, popularizing the cause of „Solidarnost” and having an impact on social attitudes towards dependant people.
Since the beginning of its existence „Solidarnost” has implemented several projects:
- Project "I don't smoke while I'm eating", 2009, financed by the Ministry of health
- Project "European companionship in education, training by travel. Leonardo Mobility 2009 - 2011", financed by the Sector program Leonardo da Vinci
- Establishing a day center for rehabilitation and resocialization of dependant people financed by Tulip Foundation. This project was given the award „Project of the year 2007”.
- A project called „Messengers of hope” and „Messengers of hope 2”, financed by the National Center of Addiction (years 2006 and 2007).
- A Leonardo Da Vinchi Program project called "European Companionship in Еducation, Training by travel" (years 2006 - 2008) as partners of ngo Trempoline - Belgium.
- A Matra Program project (The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs) for Establishing a Bulgarian Drugs Helpline and Interactive Information Website (years 2008 -2010)
- An initiative „Messengers of hope”, within the range of which several charity exhibitions were realized in Belgium and Bulgaria(years 2004 - 2007)
- An installation and debate organized in the Red House on the following topic:„Non!Dependance – the Unknown I of the Dependant People” (2007)
- An educational initiative for parents and close ones of dependant people called „Knowledge Rescues. Be Ahead of the Street’s Lessons”, financed by the Bulgarian business and media.
